Gateway Clinical Trials, founded in 2016 by C. James Anderson, DPM, is an established research center with a strong track record of conducting numerous clinical trials across a range of therapeutic areas. Dr. Anderson, a board-certified foot and ankle surgeon through the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery, launched Gateway Clinical Trials with a primary focus on podiatric research and has since guided its expansion into broader clinical indications.

About Our Facility

The Gateway Clinical Trials site is equipped with cutting edge technology that provides advanced diagnostic and treatment capabilities. It includes four dedicated exam rooms, an on-site operating room, a blood processing laboratory, and advanced diagnostic and treatment capabilities including ultrasound, X-ray, ankle-brachial index (ABI) testing, centrifuge technology, and ultra-low-temperature freezers. The site also offers in-patient capabilities to support more intensive or procedure-based study needs as well as phase I clinical trials.

Meet the Doctors

Dr. Anderson, DPM, the primary investigator at Gateway Clinical Trials, has provided award-winning podiatry care for more than 10,000 patients in the greater St. Louis, Missouri area. He graduated from the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago in 1999 and completed much of his residency training in Maryland. He is affiliated with Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Illinois and is a member of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery as well as the American Podiatric Medical Association.

Dr. Natalie Mota, DPM, has undergone extensive training in forefoot and rearfoot surgery, diabetic limb salvage, wound care and orthopedic trauma. She attended the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine and completed residency training at UPMC Mercy in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dr. Mota is a professional member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, and the American Society of Podiatric Surgeons.
